The natural crimp of Merino fibers creates tiny air pockets, trapping body heat to keep you warm in cold conditions. Conversely, in warm weather, it transports moisture vapor away from your skin to keep you cool and dry.

Merino wool is naturally antimicrobial. It can absorb moisture vapor and its complex structure prevents odor-causing bacteria from thriving. This means garments can be worn for multiple days without washing—a key benefit for travel and multi-day hikes.

It can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture vapor without feeling damp. It actively pulls moisture away from the skin, a process that keeps you far more comfortable than fabrics that only wick liquid sweat.

Forget everything you thought about itchy wool. The ultrafine fibers of Merino are flexible and soft, providing premium, next-to-skin comfort without any irritation.

Merino wool is a highly sustainable choice. It is Renewable (sheep grow a new fleece each year), Natural (no plastics), and fully Biodegradable at the end of its life. A critical aspect of its ethics is animal welfare. Sansansun is committed to sourcing only mulesing-free Merino wool, often certified by standards like the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), to ensure the sheep are treated humanely.

Machine wash on a gentle or wool-specific cycle using cold water. Use a mild, pH-neutral, or wool-safe detergent to protect the fibers.

Never tumble dry with high heat. Lay the garment flat to dry out of direct sunlight to maintain its original shape and prevent shrinking.

Do not use bleach or fabric softeners. High heat and excessive agitation are the main enemies of wool, as they can cause it to felt and shrink.
