Introduction
This case study illustrates how Sansansun, through patient communication and strategic guidance, helped our client YLAB transition from the unpredictable nature of re-ordering in-stock items to a stable, reliable custom production model. This shift not only solved their immediate procurement frustrations but also secured their supply chain for a key product, fostering a stronger long-term partnership.
Client Profile: A Brand Reliant on a Best-Selling Style
YLAB is an SB brand specializing in women’s athletic intimates. They had identified a specific in-stock sports bra from our catalog that became a best-seller for them and sought to reorder it multiple times to meet their customer demand.

The Challenge: The Uncertainty of In-Stock Availability
YLAB grew increasingly frustrated when they found that each time they were ready to place a new order for their key product, it was suddenly discontinued or out of stock. This led to a misunderstanding, where the client suspected we were intentionally limiting availability or were unwilling to continue the partnership. The inability to secure a consistent supply of their best-selling item posed a serious risk to their sales and customer satisfaction.
The Solution: A Shift from Transaction to Partnership
Instead of simply stating the product was unavailable, we took a patient and transparent approach. Across several conversations, we explained the business logic behind in-stock items:
- They are produced in limited quantities and sold to multiple clients.
- They are not guaranteed to be available long-term, as factory focus can shift.
- Most importantly, we proposed a client-focused solution: shift to custom production. This would offer them clear benefits:
- The ability to lock in the specific fabric, size, and design for their key product.
- Production schedules tailored to their sales forecast.
- A complete end to the
- uncertainty of availability.

The Outcome: A Secure Supply Chain and a Stronger Partnership
YLAB accepted our proposal to shift to a custom production model. They have since completed several custom orders successfully, securing a stable and reliable supply chain for their most important product. This process transformed a point of friction into a stronger, more strategic long-term partnership. It proved that professional patience and a focus on providing solutions—not just explaining problems—is the most direct way to build client trust.
